Kelly St-Jacques & Tango - 400mm
I am honoured and delighted to be part of Team Canada for a second time. Tango and I are really looking forward to returning to the Netherlands to represent our country at the WAO next May.
I have been training and competing in agility for many years, but it was Tango who pushed me to dream new dreams and then to work hard to make them come true; her work ethic and passion for the sport are inspirational to me. What makes our partnership even more special to me is that as her breeder, I have known her since her first breath on the planet. I feel truly blessed and grateful every time I step to the line with this awesome little girl.
When I’m not training for or competing in our great sport, I am teaching for the Department of English at the University of Ottawa, hanging out with my husband, or spending time with my family (which includes four young grandsons, all of whom I hope will one day be junior handlers!). Tango and are very fortunate to have the unwavering support of our family and friends.
My mantra, which is engraved on a bracelet I wear every day and in every competition, is “Intensity Gratitude Joy”; that is how I try to approach not only our sport but all areas of my life.
